FAQ

What is Reelcutr?

Reelcutr is a creator tool that turns long videos into high-retention 9:16 Shorts for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. It handles smart reframing, clean captions, brand templates, and export presets so you can post faster.

Which formats and platforms are supported?

We export vertical 9:16 MP4 files tuned for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Reels. Inputs can be MP4/MOV/MKV and more. Bitrate and frame-size are selected to balance quality and file size.

How do captions and templates work?

Auto captions are generated and styled with your template: fonts, sizes, position, and safe-zones. You can keep a consistent brand look across every clip without fiddling each time.

Will my videos be public?

No. Your uploads and exports are stored privately on AWS S3. Download links are unlisted and can be revoked by lifecycle cleanup.

How are files stored and cleaned up?

Files live in AWS S3 with automatic cleanup: previews expire soon after creation and final exports are retained for a limited time. This keeps storage costs low and protects your content hygiene.

How do credits and plans work?

Each plan has monthly credits and guardrails (duration caps and concurrency). Credits are consumed when you export. You can see your current tier and balance in the app header.

Can I cancel or change plans any time?

Yes. Use the built-in Billing Portal (Manage billing) to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. Changes apply per your Stripe billing cycle.

Does it handle long videos and batches?

Yes—long inputs are supported. Higher tiers allow longer durations and greater concurrency so you can queue multiple clips without waiting.

Is there a watermark on Free exports?

Free includes a small watermark. Paid plans remove watermarks and unlock higher limits and priority queueing.

Where is my data processed?

Processing runs in the cloud with storage on AWS S3 and delivery via CDN. We use Stripe for payments and do not store full card details.

Do you offer an API?

We’re exploring a lightweight API for batch workflows. If you’re interested, contact [email protected].
